Dierberg Star Lane Vineyards

Dierberg Star Lane Vineyards

Dierberg Star Lane Vineyards is a family-owned winery in Santa Barbara County that was founded in 1996 by Jim and Mary Dierberg.

Today, their children, Michael Dierberg and Ellen Dierberg Milne, consider themselves stewards of the vineyard.

The Dierbergs set out to create world-class wines from three different American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) in Santa Barbara County. They planted vineyards in Santa Maria Valley and at Star Lane Ranch in Happy Canyon, and later added Drum Canyon Vineyard in Sta. Rita Hills.

Dierberg wines emphasize “delicate and elegant Burgundian varietals,” while Star Lane wines offer a “more robust and powerful Bordeaux” taste experience.
